As a dart player, I often found myself in the same venue as pool players. I saw the quality leather cases which pool players protected their cues, and wondered why dart players didn't have a comparable case to hold their darts. After years of searching for a similar quality case, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
I hit the books and learned as much as I could about leather. I bought leather products made by hand, by machine and products that ended up not being leather at all. I learned the advantage of saddle stitching over machine sewing. I spent countless hours sketching designs and practicing making small leather goods.
Hand-sewn "saddle stitched" leather provides a more durable stitch than typical machine-sewn leather goods. If a stitch breaks, it will not unravel and the leather pieces will not separate from each other.
